Suri Cruise Is The Most Influential Kid In Hollywood For 2011

Suri Cruise has beaten Harper Beckham to the top spot in a list of the twenty most influential celebrity children.

Suri, the five-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, and Victoria Beckham’s new daughter Harper, five months, were rated in a Daily Beast poll that measured both likeability and media coverage.

Also high on the list were Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Shiloh, five, and Jennifer Lopez’s three-year-old son, Max Anthony. Kourtney Kardashian’s efforts appear to have paid off as her son Mason Disick, one, placed fifth in the list.

The top ten was rounded out by Britney Spears’ son, Jayden Federline, five. It is surprising to see that in several cases, one sibling has placed far higher than another.

Age certainly doesn’t seem to play a role;Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s son, Max, for example, has come in at number four while his twin sister, Emme Anthony, brings up the rear at number seventeen. And Shiloh, who places third, trumped sisters Vivienne, two (eighth place) and Zahara, almost seven, who claimed 11th place.

Personality is likely to be a major contributor though. Suri is anything but a wallflower, while Shiloh’s quirky, tom-boyish style contributes to the media’s constant interest. Though his parents are A-listers, Moses Martin, five, son of Gwyneth Paltrow and singer Chris Martin, is rarely photographed so his position at twentieth is a surprise. Elder sister, Apple who like her brother seldom appears in the press, didn’t make the list.

Others who featured instead of their siblings were Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards’ daughter Lola, six and Harper and Cruz Beckham whose brothers Brooklyn and Romeo were nowhere to be seen. Babies born this year but who didn’t make the cut include Natalie Portman’s little boy Aleph, Mariah Carey’s twins Moroccan and Monroe and Owen Wilson’s son, Robert. Better luck next year, kids!

Eric Bana to Play Elvis Presley in ‘Elvis & Nixon’

Star Trek and Hulk actor Eric Bana is set to play Elvis Presley in the feature film Elvis & Nixon, which marks the directorial debut of Cary Elwes. Bana also will executive produce the new movie.

Clash of the Titans actor Danny Huston is in final negotiations to play President Richard M. Nixon in the movie, which centers on a Dec. 21, 1970, visit that Presley paid to Nixon at the White House.

Friends Star David Schwimmer Looks Happy Being A Father To Darling Daughter Cleo

One of the main stars of the hit television program Friends is one happy father these days.

This developed after actor/director David Schwimmer, 44 looks very happy as he strolled around New York with his three-month old baby daughter Cleo.Placing Cleo on a baby sling, Schwimmer walked around New York City with a happy face as he takes care of his angel while wife Zoe Buckman is busy somewhere else.

According to reports, baby Cleo has the same dark hair as her parents and grey-green eyes.It can be recalled that Schwimmer wed former waitress Buckman in a secret ceremony in June after announcing their engagement in March last year. Two started to become close after they meet in London in 2007 when Schwimmer was directing Run, Fat Boy, Run, starring Simon Pegg and Thandie Newton.

Schwimmer began his acting career performing in school plays at Beverly Hills High School. In 1988, he graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater and speech.

After graduation, Schwimmer co-founded the Lookingglass Theatre Company. For much of the late-1980s, he lived in Los Angeles as a struggling, unemployed actor. He appeared in the television movie A Deadly Silence in 1989.

He then appeared in a number of television roles, including L.A. Law, The Wonder Years, NYPD Blue, and Monty in the early 1990s. Schwimmer later gained worldwide recognition for playing Ross Geller in the situation comedy Friends.

His first leading film role was in The Pallbearer (1996), which was followed by roles in Kissing a Fool (1998), Six Days Seven Nights (1998), Apt Pupil, and Picking Up the Pieces (2000). He was then cast in the miniseries Band of Brothers (2001) as Herbert Sobel.

Andy Serkis Is Superstar Actor Behind The Scenes

If there is one actor that is gaining recognition around the world despite the fact that his face is rarely seen on the big-screen that guy would be British actor Andy Serkis. Serkis is the man and voice behind some of the famous film characters the past few years. The British actor is the voice behind Gollum, in the smash hit Lord of the Rings trilogy.

He is also the same person who portrayed and voiced the character King Kong on the Peter Jackson blockbuster film of the same title in 2005. At the moment, Serkis is the person behind the main character Caesar the chimpanzee in the movie “Planet of the Apes” which is currently showing in theaters around the world today.

Before making it big in Hollywood, Serkis started his acting career on the stage. He appeared on British television throughout the 1990s, and scored the occasional film role like in Mike Leigh’s Oscar-winning “Topsy-Turvy.”

But his career took off in a new and unexpected direction when Peter Jackson cast him in his “Lord of the Rings” trilogy. Serkis was originally hired for just a three-week job providing the voice of the animated Gollum.

That turned into a five-year long endeavor, as Serkis actually created the character’s movement and expressions. In December, Serkis will play Captain Haddock in Steven Spielberg’s all-CGI film “The Adventures of Tintin,” based on the internationally popular comic books.

Serkis is one hell of an actor in terms of his voice and characterization and the world will continue to see him on films and television series for years to come.
