This might sound like a trivial thing but you’d be surprised how some actors don’t even have a checking account. If your credit is messed up and you can’t get a basic checking account then you need to work on getting your credit up to par.
Check cashing places charge you a fee to cash your check and you’ll need every penny of your money, especially after the IRS gets their cut! Also, it’s not good to carry around a lot of money all the time. It’ll be more convenient if you have a debit card tied to your checking account so you can at least pay your bills with ease. You’re not gonna have time to go around town paying cash for everything!
