What’s a Callback?

First you have the initial audition. This is the first call you get from your agent. You go out, do your best on the audition and if they like you, they’ll (the casting agent) want you to come back a second time–usually for the producers and/or director. You’ve got a “callback”. Congrats! A callback is a good thing because it means you rocked on your first audition. It means you’re in the running! Sometimes you may have to go on a second or even a third audition when the competition is tough such as on commercials. Stay tough skinned ’cause after you press through the callback stage–you book the job!
